Jack Canfield – 4 Powerful Lessons to be Learned

by Nalinda Karunaratna on May 10, 2012

The other day I was going through some of Jack Canfield videos posted on YouTube. One of them really caught my attention. This is usually the case with Jack Canfield’s material. He is a phenomenal teacher/coach, without doubt. He is one of those people, who can put you in a great state of mind and fill you with excitement, you will feel like jumping in to action. He is a gifted speaker and a motivator. The video was about success and achieving success. The question is how do we define success? Here is the best definition which I can think of – Success is a worthy and predefined goal achieved with desire and passion. Even though most people link success to material or physical form (I mean amount of materials that you possess or the money you have in your bank account etc) there is a strong connection to spiritual form. You can think you are successful or you can enjoy your success only if it has a strong connection to your inner feelings and most importantly your inner joy. If you merely seek materiel success to in order to gain acceptance or for fame, your success will always depend upon outside factors and environment which may lead to unhappiness or you may feel like needing to achieve more to gain the happiness you were seeking. It will never happen since your assumptions were based on something volatile.

Once you define your success you can use the following success formulas even without knowing and you will get where you want to be and it will be an easy and pleasant experience. Jack Canfield – 4 Powerful Lessons to be Learned Image

Power of Clarity

Once you form a vision what you want to achieve you need to be crystal clear about your vision or images you hold in your mind. You cannot do it with vague or inconsistent images. More you dwell upon your vision, the more clarity you will get. The more clarity you get, it becomes easier to fix it in your mind. Once you fix something in your mind, your focus improves and desire to achieve that thing gets magnified.  Then you start emitting vibrations in that frequency and you will attract the thing you want.

Power of Alignment

You need to align yourself with your inner joy or happiness; once you align yourself with this eternal force of energy you will see a profound meaning to your life. This is what we call – Your Life Purpose. Once you find your true purpose in your life it is important that you align your life, work to this inner happiness. If you can do this consistently, you will never be the same again. You life becomes a magnificent & interesting journey and it certainly worth living for.

Power of Consistency

“Everyday is either a successful day, or a day of failure, and it is the successful days that get you what you want.” – Wallace D. Wattles

This is one of the most profound quotes on the subject I’ve seen so far. Once you define your goals make sure to create a list of tasks to be completed, then every day do just 5 things that make you come closer to your goal. Your objective would be to have consistent successful days. Also you will find out that you cannot do things consistently if you don’t love what you are doing. That is where power of alignment comes in. Align what you have to do with your purpose. Then it becomes a breeze.

Power of Habits

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”. – Aristotle

In order to manifest your desires it is essential that you identify and focus on the habits that generate results. If you manage to identify and cultivate habits which generate desired outcome then you are successful. Carefully choosing the habits will determine one’s success. Therefore you need to pay close attention to your habits. Also you need to understand that, you cannot achieve the thing you want by thinking the same thoughts and doing the same thing you’ve used to do. Say for an example if you want to get slim, then you need to be aware of your habits which don’t align with your objective. Once you identify the habits which aren’t aligned, plant a new habit and focus on that. Keep doing it until it becomes a habit. I highly encourage you to stick to it for at least 30 days. It is scientifically proven that if you do a task for more than 30 days consecutively, your brain creates new neural patterns which will lead to a new habit.

Out of above 4 lessons (Clarity, Alignment, Consistency and Habits) which one helps you the most to achieve your success? Or do you think some other aspect is essential to achieve success?
